I was born in the middle of my favorite time of the year. Fall. My birthday was last Saturday. I am 21. 21?!?!?! That seems hopelessly old. I know in all technicality it’s really not that old. It just seems like yesterday that I was playing/pretending that I was 18. I never pretended to be 21 that always seemed too old. I mean, who could possibly have fun at 21?? I figured I would have had a couple kids to take care of by then. It’s funny how you think when you are are 10-12. I’m 21 and have no kids. I’m 21 and I don’t feel old or like life is boring. It’s anything but boring. Quite honestly I LOVE being 21, I think it’s going to be my best year yet. 

I received my first birthday present at 12:00 am. I had just came home from an evening with my youth group. I always check out the stars when I come home in the evening. This evening they were glorious. I just looked and looked, there seemed to be no end to them. I haven’t seen a night sky like that since this spring. (by the way, if you have never seen a western sky after dark you have NO idea what I’m talking about but to help you imagine it a little -- it looks a lot like a planetarium only better cause it’s real.) Oh, it was lovely. Stars have always reminded me of how much God loves me. It was like He made the stars extra beautiful that night cause He knew it was my birthday. It was the best birthday present I received. God took the time to tell me ‘Happy Birthday’ and ‘I love you, Brittany’. How awesome is that?!?

The rest of my birthday was spent basking in the goodness of God. Honestly, I’ve never had such a wonderful birthday. I am so blessed. I have friends, family, and God’s love. I am incredibly rich. I don’t think I have ever taken the time to just sit and bask in the blessings I have, on my birthday I did. I think that’s what made it the best birthday I’ve had so far. God has been so incredibly good to me. I am outrageously and undeservingly blessed.
