There's nothing my God cannot do"
How often have you prayed for the impossible expecting God to act?? How often have you prayed for the impossible expecting that God will ignore the request?? What do you truly believe about God?? What do you truly believe about prayer??
I postulate that what we believe about God and about prayer makes an incredible difference in our prayer life. Jesus said that if we have faith the size of a mustard seed we can move mountains. A mustard seed is less than 1/16 of an inch in diameter. Mt. Everest is 29,029 feet tall. We could move Mt Everest, all 29,029 feet of it, with mustard seed faith less than 1/16 of an inch in diameter.
I often find myself thinking that my prayers don't change anything, that I may as well be talking to myself. Sometimes I think that God doesn't care, that He doesn't even want to act. If I pray with that belief in my heart, will that not effect my eyes? If I'm not expecting Him to do anything, I will not be looking for His miracles. I will not see the little things He delights in doing for me. I will see all the things He's 'not' doing with amazing clarity.
I have found that taking what God says into my heart, changes my prayer life drastically. God says He delights in helping his children. He thinks it is a pleasure to act in our lives. He listens. He loves us. He considers us his precious treasure. Having these thoughts in my heart, makes me want to pray. It clears my eyes, so that I can see the things He does everyday to answer my prayers. I see Him working in my life and the lives of others. I begin to look for what He will do 'next'. I know that my prayers make a difference. That my God is so big, so strong, so mighty, there's nothing He cannot do.
Nothing means 'no thing; not anything; naught'. Our God is a God who can conquer even the impossible.
So that leaves me with a question, what do you really believe?

Ps. How did you ever get your brother to pose like that???
Brit, I already told you what I think. You are saying a lot! I really like it as it is a great reminder to me that my God loves each one of us more than we are capable of loving and He is not limited in what He can do for us! Keep it up Brit! You're doing great! Micah

Brit, my heart is full. Thank you for your thoughts. And, if I've never told you before: You inspire me.
I love you lots and lots.
Brit, You are such an inspiration to me. How wonderful to have a cousin with the same thoughts and desires as myself. God has been drawing me closer to him alot this year and many times when I think of him I am moved to tears. Truly our God delights in us and how often do I REALLY believe that???? Love you, Heidi
